Crafting break?

In November l fractured my left elbow really badly following surgery on my right hand. This forced me to have a very very long break from doing anything...

My lovely husband had to do everything for me and although I am now improving, I am having physiotherapy twice a week.. 

There is a lot of metalwork in there.. 

I have done a bit of pottery, thanks to my daughter and her friend.. Also have been doing a bit of knitting which helps with the physio.. 

This is the little summer cardigan that I knitted in three ply wool from a free patrons pattern I found online. Given as a gift to a beautiful baby girl. It took me a while 👍😁

sewing the esparto

I have begun to sew the strips of esparto grass together to get the width and length of the window blind. It is hard going.. But looking lovely so far.

This is the roll of plaited esparto grass so far. I need to get the measurements of the window so that I can work out how much to make for them both. 

I eventually will sew it and cut it into strips which are sewn together to make the blind, which will be totally natural.

Working on a seven braided plait ( or pleita) to eventually make a traditional window blind or two for my daughter. 

weaving esparto grass

I began to weave a plait (pleita) to make a lampshad or ornament for my daughter. I am going to make it much longer and she is hoping to make a lampshade with it..? 

Jacket zip changed

The zip on Mr G's jacket broke and I have spent the last two afternoons replacing it with one I found in my stash... 

Result... Jacket saved
