Knitting with leftovers

I have begun to use up some of my stash of leftover wool to try and make myself a fairisle cardigan.
I began the back by following a double knitting pattern, and made up the fairisle pattern. My first attempt was not good, so I pulled it out and am happier with this attempt.
I am trying not to overdo the fairisle...
Here it is so far...

Belen and patchwork bag

I continued with my Belen ( or nativity) knitted project which I have called knitivity.. ha ha
I have included Mary, Joseph, the angel Gabriel a donkey ( in spanish colours) and a sheep so far, which I have really enjoyed making. Making up the donkey and sheep pattern as I went along
The original body patterns were from a really old edition of the woman's weekly magazine.
The original patterns were meant for  a tree but one of the knitting class ladies has suggested velcro dots to make them stand up which seems to be an excellent idea. Possibly knitting a stable later on?
Patchwork classes are continuing and we have been making more bags from kits including this appliquéd one from kits our teacher had bought.
I have added the wrist strap to mine which was not on the original pattern, but I like it more and think it makes it more useable for me.

Nearly finished patchwork bag and a bit of knitting

Sorry I have been unable to post for a while, due to some problems with my samsung phone. It has sadly overheated and died and is off to the factory in Madrid to be repaired/replaced :(
I have continued to quilt the tote bag we have been making in patchwork class and have just got the handles to put on now..
Knitting club restarted here in Competa on Monday following  the Christmas and new year celebrations, and as I have no projects on the go,  I decided to use some odds and ends to make christmas decorations. Here is a santa and two of the three kings so far..

We were also greeted to a beautiful sunrise this morning. . Here is the view from our terrace.

Finished quilt in it's new home

Despite catching flu over the festive period, Dave and I enjoyed having our daughter and her fiancé to stay. They managed to fit the quilt into the one suitcase they brought and it is now safely installed in their bedroom.
Lucy assures me that it matches the room perfectly. Phew!! And fits. I am so pleased.
