Baby shoes completed

Blue shell and crystal necklace

The baby shoes complete with bows..
Today, I finished off the baby shoes with bows, which I have sewed on very securely. They look sooo comfortable and cute I wish they were my size :(
and I also made a blue shell and crystal necklace which I think will be easy to wear with either smart or casual styles

More baby shoes

Following the prototype shoes mark one, I decided to modify the pattern and have now nearly finished mark two. I just have the one left to finish and then thread the elastic through the heel section.
I may also embellish the top possibly with a bow or flower- stitched on very securely of course :D
The bottom shoe is inside out while I sew the heel into position

Prototype shoes

the shoe I made, also showing the sections used to assemble it

Spanish lady in blue dress for an order..
I have been toying with the idea of making something with patchwork that does not take too long to make up, so I came up with the idea of padded baby shoes. I made a pattern with some graph paper, and cut out the outside and lining material and the padding to go in between. I sewed one up by hand, but think that the heel needs to be deeper. I will try to adjust it this afternoon.
Also have painted another Spanish lady this time in blue for an order, but need to find a cardboard tube (possibly from a kitchen roll or foil ) to enable the buyer to transport it to Holland... all tubes gratefully received at the casa :D

Another order...

Someone I know ordered another dancer yesterday, which needs to be ready for next week which gives me lots of time to paint all the layers of colour (blue this time) Also delivered the order for the red dancers today to two happy customers.. :D

More dancers

Following the market on Saturday, I have now made the earrings, shortened a necklace and painted another red Flamenco dancer for an order
It was painted to go with another red dancer and I believe they will hang in a bedroom.
Also took the quilt that took 2 years to hand quilt and make for it's first cleaning... I hope the dye does not run/ the material does not shrink.....

Market day

Today, Saturday, was market day, so my husband and a nervous self set off early to set up.
We had a successful day, sold quite a few watercolour paintings, necklaces, bangles and earrings, and saw lots of friends of all nationalities into the bargain.
Also took a couple of orders for more paintings and earrings as well :D
Despite the Parasol, D's sombrero and factor 30 sunscreen I still managed to somehow catch the sun and now have a lovely red colour chest complete with white patch where my necklace was hanging, much to the amusement of my friends tonight..
note to self..extra parasol/suncream or burka for the next Market on 22nd October, where I have already booked my pitch.

Preparation

Tomorrow, Friday is going to be a busy day , a meeting to go to in the morning, and visiting friends in the afternoon, so I have been preparing labels, pricing, setting up my display board and making out business cards today in preparation for Saturday's market.
I also managed to iron one of the sofa covers I had washed PHEW! The other one is drying now as well.
As I have also to change the shop display tomorrow, I will have to wait until later tomorrow evening to label my necklaces with their prices.

Meanwhile, the climbing flowers are doing really well, thanks to my daughter who sent me the seeds
