Esparto grass weaving

The weather was warm enough for me to sit outside and weave some more esparto grass

It is getting to be quite long now

Possibly enough for a basket?

I decided to sit outside and plait some more esparto grass. It is very messy to do so I had to wear a pinny (or apron ) and I managed to do quite a bit. I have no idea how long it needs to be or what we are going to make with the plait but suspect it will be an attempt at a basket.
It needs to be sewn together with twine and a very long needle, which looks quite lethal :D
